199th Infantry, National Color. Nicknamed the "Commercial Regiment", the 199th was composed of men from Philadelphia, Montgomery, Luzerne, Crawford, Lancaster, Erie, Fayette, Allegheny, and Lycoming counties. It was organized in the fall of 1864 by Philadelphia's Commercial Exchange. Little is known about the colors. The regiment was mustered out of service in late June 1865.
